Optical Thread Measuring Instrument

Developed jointly by Chinese and German research teams, combining localised domestic engineering and application implementation, it creates the country's first purely optical thread measuring instrument through unique design and core technological advantages, used for non-contact, high-precision measurement of various external thread parameters, with extremely fast measurement speed, capable of completing multiple parameter measurements within seconds.

  • Structural design

    • High-precision granite base and column

    The machine uses a high-precision granite base and column, which offers superior thermal stability and mechanical performance compared to steel and aluminium columns.

    • High-resolution grating system

    Combined with high-precision linear guides and a high-resolution (0.0001mm) optical scale readout, it enables high-precision and rapid thread measurement.

  • Optical system

    Large-field high-resolution telecentric industrial lenses and matrix cameras:

    • Equipped with a 25-megapixel high-resolution CCD camera, it delivers bright and sharp imaging.
    • Paired with a large-field telecentric transmitted light source and bi-telecentric lenses, together with a precision motion control system, it performs optical scanning on thread profiles.
  • Dedicated measurement software

    Yuanyue Measurement and Control's exclusive dedicated thread measurement software can measure the key geometric parameters of almost all threads in a very short time, including but not limited to:

    Typically covering a wide range of thread sizes, such as external threads: M1 ~ M100 or even larger, and can be customised according to customer requirements. It can not only measure a single parameter but also conduct comprehensive evaluation, complying with modern geometric tolerance standards.

     With a single setup, all parameter measurements can be completed in seconds, far surpassing traditional contact thread gauges.

    •  Automatic measurement, data traceable

    Automatically recognise thread profiles, compare them with standards (ISO, DIN, GB, etc.) or customised tolerance zones, automatically determine OK/NG; automatically generate detailed measurement reports (PDF, Excel), supporting SPC statistical analysis.

    All measurement data is electronically stored for easy quality traceability and analysis.
