Optical shaft measuring instrument
The YSM optical shaft measuring instrument is a pure optical measuring device specifically developed by Yuanjie Metrology (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. for rotational parts. It is primarily used for measuring the geometric dimensions and form and position tolerances of shaft-type components, such as automotive transmission shafts, precision bearings, aerospace parts, etc. It can assist customers in safely and quickly measuring the geometric dimensions of shafts and turning parts of different lengths and diameters under all conditions and environments.
YSM structural design
The entire machine utilizes a high-precision granite base and column, exhibiting superior mechanical performance compared to steel and aluminum columns. Granite boasts extremely high stability, and its low thermal expansion coefficient ensures dimensional stability in temperature-fluctuating environments, thereby providing a solid foundation for precision measuring instruments. The high-precision guide rails of the measurement system are mounted on a stable marble base, and the workpiece is clamped between an adjustable tailstock and a precision spindle equipped with an annular grating, ensuring a stable structure.

Diameter measurement: static diameter, maximum diameter, minimum diameter; dynamic average diameter, dynamic maximum/minimum diameter.
Length measurement: horizontal distance, vertical distance, distance from a point to a line.
Angle measurement: the angle between any two lines.
Circular arc measurement: Measure the radius of any transition circular arc.
Roundness measurement: coaxiality, roundness, runout, and cylindricity.
Optical end face runout measurement, contact end face runout measurement (optional).
Geometric measurement: straightness, perpendicularity, parallelism.
Thread measurement: pitch, major diameter, minor diameter, and pitch diameter.
Cam measurement (optional): base circle radius, maximum cam height (lift), phase angle.
Geometric computation: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and average calculation of any two numerical values.
Real-time measurement: Conduct static measurements of points, lines, and angles on the real-time displayed image, as well as measurements of dynamic jitter and perpendicularity.
Construction function: Based on the graphical part view structure, it can generate common construction types to provide creation and access to spatial features. The supported construction types include: line-line intersection, line-arc intersection, arc-arc intersection, tangent point, arc center, etc.
Technical Features
01 High-precision granite base and column
Using granite with a low thermal expansion coefficient as the material exhibits superior mechanical properties compared to steel and aluminum pillars. Granite has extremely high stability, and its low thermal expansion coefficient ensures dimensional stability in temperature-fluctuating environments, providing a solid foundation for precision measuring instruments.
02 Optical system: large-field, high-resolution telecentric industrial lens and matrix camera.
Large-field telecentric transmission light source and dual telecentric lenses.
Equipped with a 25-megapixel high-resolution industrial area matrix camera, the image is bright and clear. The matrix camera can scan over a thousand individual circles in a single rotation of the workpiece, and it does so at an exceptionally fast speed. Distinct from line-scanning cameras, this device features a unique real-time image display window, allowing for analysis and measurement of the images displayed in real-time. This includes measurements such as static point, line, and surface projections, as well as dynamic runout measurements.
03 Powerful construction function
Based on the graphical part view structure, common construction types can be generated to facilitate the creation and access of spatial features. The supported construction types include: intersection points, tangent points, extension lines, circle centers, etc.
04 High-resolution grating system
The German HEIDENHAIN (RSF) digital grating system (measuring and digital display) boasts a resolution of 0.0001 mm, including electronic calibration.
05 Clamping device suitable for multiple scenarios
With the MK 2 base, YSM can perform any measurement using appropriate clamping devices. The top support features a quick release function, allowing for easy adjustment with one hand.
06 Automatic measurement
All features can be automatically measured through programming, with the measurement results visually displayed on the screen and automatically saved in PDF and DFQ formats (certified by Q-DAS according to AQDEF).
07 Can be directly used on the production site
It can handle complex on-site production environments, support automated loading and unloading, automated measurement, and support barcode/QR code/RFID readers. Measurements can be completed within seconds, enabling fast and efficient quality control.
08 Intelligent Solutions
With different measurement ranges for length and diameter, as well as various proven clamping devices such as three-jaw chucks, magnetic suction platforms, and various types of centers, we can provide intelligent solutions according to user needs.
Optional
01 Optional length and diameter standard devices can be equipped, with automatic calibration function through software.
02 An optional scanning gun is available for quickly scanning and entering QR code material numbers and automatically selecting measurement programs.
03 Optional high-precision accessories such as three-claw chuck, magnetic suction platform, and compound center are available.
04 Optional automatic workpiece clamping function (automatic tailstock), which can be used in conjunction with automated loading and unloading to automatically clamp the workpiece.
